The package bundles everything: kite lessons with Mohamed Achhibat and all the gear, transfers between your accommodation and the spot of the day, and the accommodation itself. The week is six nights with ten hours of kite, enough to go from your first waterstart to riding on your own; the weekend is three nights with six hours, to get back into it or try the spot before a longer stay.
There are three places to stay. Riad Baladin is a boutique riad in the heart of the medina with ten rooms, breakfast included, a spa and a heated jacuzzi, and a restaurant on site. The sea-view house sits on the ramparts: five floors and four bedrooms for up to eight people. Villa Amwaj, 15 minutes from Essaouira and five from Sidi Kaouki, has a private pool and garden for up to six. The villa and the house are rented whole; the riad also works for one or two people.
A typical day: breakfast, pick-up around 9.30am for Diabat, a two to three-hour kite session, lunch back in the medina, then a second session or free time, and dinner in town. Beginners are welcome, and on days without enough wind, the sessions switch to surfing.
